Yellow Track, Bungonia National Park NSW

Good views and nice creek scenery on the shortish Yellow Track in Bungonia National Park. To extend your day consider the Green Track also.

Yellow Track, Bungonia National Park

The relatively short Yellow Track in Bungonia National Park was unfinished business for me, having done the Green Track and part of the White Track some years ago, and the challenging and spectacular Red Track more recently. It offers pleasant and rocky creek scenery at Bungonia Creek, then keeps high above the creek, ending with good views of the surrounding topography from Jerrara Canyon Lookout.

It’s quite short so while there you may as well do some of the Green Track. We did half, which is enough to get the day’s best views from Adams Lookout (which you can also drive to). Track notes at the end.

Bee hive! I walked under this three times without realising they were there, and may have even bumped my head on one. Sophia was the first to notice.

Track Notes

Yellow Track, Bungonia National Park
The Yellow Track is on the left. We also did half the Green Track on the same day. You can park at Bungonia Campground.

You can park at Bungonia Campground. From there start on a short section of the Green Track before taking the left hand option along the Yellow Track. It soon crosses Bungonia Creek, which is a good spot to explore a little. Continue on the track until the end, where there is a fenced lookout. Return the way you came. We did a circuit on half the Green Track and the road, but you do both Yellow and Green easily enough in a day.
