Not a bad walk if you are driving out west along the Barrier Highway from Sydney to Broken Hill, as we were in September 2009. The Ngiyampaa walking track climbs through mallee woodlands to a trig point on Mount Grenfell, for views over flat-as-a-pancake woodland for as far as the eye can see.
There’s apparently aboriginal rock art along the track but I can’t remember and didn’t seem to take any photos. I remember the walk being on the easy side of moderate. You can get more information on the NPWS website.
